seeking to deepen their life
in the Spirit.

with our new Retreat Galleries video and

Prayer — In community or alone in quiet places. Lectio Divina (Sacred Reading of
Scripture) and Centering Prayer are practices experienced and taught regularly. Also
we daily pray with intercessions, for all prayer requests that come into New
Beginnings. We also offer prayers of healing to those who seek wholeness of body,
mind and soul.
Benedictine Formation — A Benedictine Formation Program is a monthly
program that is led by our Benedictine Oblates. Contact us about how you can be a part
of the program or feel led to walk towards becoming a Benedictine Oblate.
The Daily Office — Praying the psalms and prayers that help us to experience
Kingdom living in our own lives.
Retreats — Daytime and overnight retreats are offered through New Beginnings. Our
retreat directors have many years of experience in retreat ministry. Retreats include
times of silence, prayer, journaling, Holy Communion, Taize’ services, healing, art,
worship, and more. Retreats around many different topics are offered. Contact New
Beginnings for a retreat schedule. We also offer various retreats to congregations and
Christian organizations. Our directors are available to lead retreats in other locations
for those desiring day or overnight retreats.
Spiritual Direction — from certified Spiritual Directors. Group and individual
direction are available. Our spiritual directors serve as mentors and friends on your
spiritual journey, one to help you be connected or reconnected to God and His
Spiritual Formation — We offer classes that can help shape you as you journey
with God. Spiritual formation happens to each of us in different ways. We offer
courses which meet our need for community and growth. Some include the 7 week
course “Spiritual Foundations for Church Leaders,” the LifeTouch series (courses on
prayer and spiritual disciplines), “Benedictine studies,” “St. Ignatius,” and others...

In many different traditions
lighting candles is a sacred action.
It expresses more than words can
express. It has to do with
gratefulness. From time
immemorial, people have lit
candles in sacred places. Why
should cyberspace not be sacred?
You may want to begin or end your
day by the sacred ritual of lighting
a candle on this website. Or you
may want to light a birthday candle
for a friend. One single guideline is
all you need: Slow down and do it
with full attention. From here on,
you will be guided step by step.

been lit from 243 countries.
